Only a few cycled due to a week of wall to wall rain. Walked over to Bowness, explored by car, and enjoyed the comfort of the house. Santa arrived on 28th November and startled Helen and Petros’s dog. A fine relaxing week for all and a few books purchased. (27/11/15 – 4/12/15)
Had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with family – Wonderful cottage and place. Hopefully be back.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful part of the country with us – cottage awesome!
Great cottage, great area, great weekend! Thanks everything was great.
Lovely, clean, homey, relaxing. Great place and a great time.
Lovely place to stay, home from home.

Brilliant holiday – house cosy and warm. Great for walking, the dogs loved it!
Had a fantastic time – really cosy cottage, all the facilities you could wish for. Great to be able to walk to Windermere/Bowness. If you like fishing ask Helen about the Lake up the road. Watermill Pub in Ings was great for us and the dogs – food and beer great as well. Would definitely come back as we found our bearings and just started on the walks! (September 2015).
Excellent holiday home for large group. Had a beautiful meal at the Punch Bowl Inn at Crosthwaite & lovely breakfast/lunches available at Graze in Bowness-on-Windermere (tiny cafe just opposite Peter Rabbit exhibition). Good walking on all the hills around Hagg End – surprisingly spectacular views from the craggy hill next to Borwick Fold. Many thanks to Helen & Petros for their welcome. (September 2015)
Lovely cottage, well equipped, weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all. (September 2015)
We loved it here – beautiful countryside and a warm welcome from Helen. Certainly makes us want to come back. (August 2015)
Great week had by all. We saw the deer in the paddock on the last day – lovely! (August 2015)
We’ve had a lovely few days at Haggend, weather has been gorgeous! A great vibe in the house, very homely. Loads of room and enjoyed by everyone. Millie loved the garden, especially the trampoline when the children were on it! (August 2015)
Everyone was blown away by the house. Very comfortable and so well equiped. Would have loved to stay longer than 4 days. We would love to come back sometime in the future. (August 2015).
A very happy family leaves Hagg End after a fun filled week! Thank you for a lovely, well kept cottage. The location was perfect for visiting Grizedale Park, so young and old could swing from trees and follow trails for the Gruffalo. Our highlight was catching the train to a wonderful boat ride, taking in stunning lakeside views. Be sure to follow (or try to!) the Cragg Walk by the house….where even getting lost is a very scenic adventure! Many thanks. (June 2015).
